Document scanning
The
Informed Imaging Bureau uses modern high-speed scanners to provide
a rapid paper-to-image conversion service.

Document sizes
We are able to scan and image paper documents ranging in size from A6 to A3 format (single-sheet, multi-sheet, single- or double-sided, paper or card). Image files can be supplied as .TIFF files or most other common image file formats, such as JPEG, PDF, PNG, and PSP.
Indexing
Informed Imaging uses high speed auto-indexing software to create document index search fields and metadata. Additionally, our experienced bureau staff will manually index documents to your specifications. We will provide pre-formatted files on CD, DVD or via e-mail for import into your document store, or host these for you via our web service.
Bates stamping
Scanned images can have an identifing marks superimposed on the image.
Image options
We can provide images in colour, grayscale, or black and white (Bi-tonal) and we can significantly compress large image files (e.g. colour) to reduce storage space and speed up image transfer rates. Contact us on your particular needs and we will be pleased to provide advice on image file sizes, dpi (dots per inch) options and likely data transfer rates. We are also pleased to run small pilot tests in order to evaluate a project more fully prior to roll-out.
Archiving
Your paper documents can be securely transferred to compact electronic media, for greater speed of searching and retrieval, and also saving you space and storage costs.
Environmentally friendly disposal
Scanned documents can be taken to be processed into recycled paper. Sensitive documents can be shredded before recycling.
